Cherry Blossom Love!
Even though it’s officially spring, Mother Nature has been taking us on a rollercoaster ride with the weather. We have had 80 degree weeks followed by snow, followed by rain, followed by intense winds… I was completely unsure what to expect for Midori & Scott’s engagement session and that was particularly worrisome since they wanted to take photos down at the DC Tidal Basin where the Cherry Blossoms were in bloom. Well, I can’t tell you how relieved I was that Mother Nature threw us a break. We got down there bright and early to try and catch the sunrise and although it was colder than we would have liked, the sky was clear and the sunrise was absolutely beautiful!
Midori and Scott are such an awesome couple! They met in grad school and will be getting married this October. I am so excited for them and honored that they chose me to capture these special moments for them… I can’t wait until the wedding! After spending time by the river taking photos with Midori, Scott, and their adorable puppy Jack, we caught an Uber (my very first one LOL) to the Library of Congress. This historic building was quite beautiful with all of its amazing architecture. Take a peek at the engagement session below and stay tuned to my blog as wedding season is just beginning!
